App-switcher protection

When the user opens the app switcher, the operating system shows a snapshot of your app. App-switcher protection keeps sensitive content out of it:

iOS

The SDK covers the window with a blur just before the app leaves the foreground, so the snapshot shows the blur, and removes it when the app becomes active again. Verified on the iOS Simulator.

Android

Section titled “Android”

Android uses the same FLAG_SECURE flag as screenshot protection, which hides the Recents thumbnail. While app-switcher protection is on, screenshots are blocked too. The flag stays set until both protections are off.
